ANU-ABS 2016 Census Data Symposium – Canberra
Tuesday 20 June 2017

In conjunction with the ABS, the ANU Centre for Social Research and Methods will be holding a Census Data Symposium on the 26 July 2017.

Find out what the 2016 Census of Population and Housing tells us about ourselves, our communities and Australia.

Every five years the Census provides a snapshot of Australia. Census data are used by individuals, organisations and governments to make informed decisions on policy and planning issues that affect the lives of all Australians.

Hosted by the Australian National University (ANU) and Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS), this Symposium will include:

  • A presentation on 2016 Census Data findings
  • Academic reflections on initial Census results
  • ANU Centre for Social Research and Methods Seminar – ‘Australia in the 21st Century – Trends and patterns’
